In the SMT production process, there is a common method of error 

prevention, which can reduce the risk of error, reduce the probability 

of error, and effectively improve the quality of the entire production, 

this method is the first article testing mechanism, which is used by 

almost all SMT companies.

　　The so-called FAI first test mechanism is to produce a piece of 

       prototype before formal production. This kind of mass production 

       test can not start until all the tests have been passed. First article 

       testing is usually carried out under the following circumstances.

　　1. New products come on line; and

　　2、The beginning of each work shift

　　3、Replacement of product model

　　4、Adjustment of equipment and fixtures

　　5. Changing technical conditions, process methods and process 

           parameters.

　　6.After adopting new material or ECN material replacement.
